PRO´s Report - First General Annual Meeting
History was created
on Friday the 12th of April, 2002 in Wuerzburg: Eoghan McGuire played
host for the first A.G.M. of Saint Kilians Hurling and Football Club.
Before settling down to business we availed of the beverages provided
by Eoghan and food courtesy of Yvonne, Caro and JP.
Co-founders Eoghan and JP opened proceedings by welcoming the members
present- Kalle, Chris, Caro, Dave, Pam, Eric, Jens, & Marcus. Eoghan ,
followed by JP, outlined their aims ,goals and hopes for the club. They
stressed the importance of the other members taking responsibilities ,
positions and making decisions for the club. Then the election of the
Officers of the Club( see officers ) took place.
The members discussed the constitution of the club, the finances, any
suggestions for raising money, and the questions of jersey and club crest.
They ended by sincerely thanking the clubs first sponsors "Nothnagel Electro"
- Jen's family business. Also Jens received a special mention for the
great work done in creating the website.
A great start has been made by this club. JP and Eoghan founded it in
February and together they have worked hard to get things started, but,
now it’s up to the club
members and newly elected
officers to continue the progress and hopefully make this a vibrant
and successful club.
Wuerzburg is for all intents and purposes the geographical centre of Germany.
Munich, Stuttgart , Frankfurt and even Zurich and Luxembourg are all within
striking distance. The club has a wonderful opportunity to make itself
the hub of (at least) Germanic GAA...... "Is tüs maith leath na hoibre!!!"
The club wishes to thank the Euro GAA for their advise and support given
since February, and to the other European clubs:
We have training
every Sunday @11.00 at the Talevera pitch ( am Main ) and have now added
another day- Wednesday @18.30 to our training schedule
